I have always tried to avoid talking about politics in public however this elephant in the room effects us all in ways that I never imagined possible. So ideally, this will be my first and last politically driven post on this blog.
If you don’t follow any news regarding international affairs, the U.N.
Agenda 21 initiative is in my opinion, the one story every U.S. citizen needs to be fully up to speed on.
The only reason i felt it appropriate to discuss in context of the PMB blog is it’s relationship to GMO production by the Monsanto Corporation to feed underdeveloped third world countries. The UN seeks to introduce genetically modified foods to third world in an effort to quickly bring them up to speed with more developed nations like the US and Europe. The seeds of these Gmo’s have not been sufficiently tested for its long term effects on human health. With studies of recent finding links between high cancer rates and the consumption of genetically modified foods, perhaps the underdeveloped countries (who have far less deaths to cancer than there are in the more developed nations) would be best served in a different manner.
Agenda 21 in a nutshell is a U.N. driven initiative that,
“According to its authors, the objective of Agenda 21 is to integrate economic, social and environmental policies in order to achieve reduced consumption, social equity, and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity. Supporters of agenda 21 insist that every societal decision be based on environmental impact, focusing on three components; global land use, global education, and global population control and reduction.”
Let me translate, the objective of agenda 21 is to promote austerity measures upon the citizens of this planet, to compensate for the cultural mass overconsumption that has nearly driven the planet to the brink of extinction. So after 50 years of being sold the dream of bigger is better, get rich or die tryin we are now being told that we must recondition ourselves to consume less, spend less and produce less offspring in order to save the planet. Our leaders are not promoting this agenda because its the right thing to do, (perhaps thirty years ago during the Carter administration that would have been the case), they do so now because they have no choice any longer to maintain the present status quo.
What gives Agenda 21 Ruling Authority?
More than 178 nations adopted Agenda 21 as official policy during a signing ceremony at the Earth Summit. US president George H.W. Bush signed the document for the US. In signing, each nation pledge to adopt the goals of Agenda 21. In 1995, President Bill Clinton, in compliance with Agenda 21, signed Executive Order #12858 to create the President’s Council on Sustainable Development in order to “harmonize” US environmental policy with UN directives as outlined in Agenda 21. The Executive Order directed all agencies of the Federal Government to work with state and local community governments in a joint effort “reinvent” government using the guidelines outlined in Agenda 21. As a result, with the assistance of groups like ICLEI, Sustainable Development is now emerging as government policy in every town, county and state in the nation.
Revealing Quotes From the Planners
“Agenda 21 proposes an array of actions which are intended to be implemented by EVERY person on Earth…it calls for specific changes in the activities of ALL people… Effective execution of Agenda 21 will REQUIRE a profound reorientation of ALL humans, unlike anything the world has ever experienced… ” Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet (Earthpress, 1993). Emphases – DR
“Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class — involving high meat intake, the use of fossil fuels, electrical appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning and suburban housing — are not sustainable,” noted Earth Summit Secretary-General Maurice Strong as he ushered in Agenda 21. In other words, the UN sustainability agenda eventually seeks to curtail people’s choices in terms of food, transportation, housing — even family size, as in Communist China. “
Don’t get me wrong…I am all for cleaner air, cleaner fuel options, healthy environment and living a healthy lifestyle.
However I do respect the notion that many people do not care about such issues and they should have the right to make choices on their own behalf. Here’s the deal folks, like Clark Griswold in National Lampoons Vacation, Americans have fallen asleep at the wheel only to wake up to the horror of their neglect. Unconsciously we all knew it was coming, we knew this way of life couldnt sustain itself. The signs have been all around us we were just to preoccupied with vanity to see reality. The only way out now is through. The only door left for you and I to enter or exit is the OVERstanding of the legal system to learn the rules of the game. Folks, If you dont believe in Karma, well what goes around always….ALWAYS comes back around. Time to turn off dancing with the stars and open a book on Maritime Law like yesterday…
